WNC Adult Literacy & Language - Fallon HSE Prep Classes

FALLON, Nev. (September 29, 2017) - High School Equivalency (HSE) prep classes are available for Fall 2017. Registration and orientation are held at the WNC Fallon Campus in Piñon Hall, Room 204 from 9pm-12pm. Students must attend the entire mornings of all 4 days. View the schedule of each session here. High Water Celebration 2017

FALLON, Nev. (September 18, 2017) - Please join the City of Fallon and Churchill County as we celebrate this community’s tremendous effort and success with flood mitigation efforts during the High Water Event this year. A celebration to honor all of our volunteers and thank our community for their support will be held on September 23, 2017 from 1PM - 9PM. Governor Sandoval Signs Declaration of Emergency and Public Health and Medical Disaster

CARSON CITY, NV - Governor Brian Sandoval today has signed a Declaration of Emergency for Clark County following the mass shooting incident in southern Nevada. Through this order, he has directed all state agencies to supplement the local efforts to save lives and protect the health and safety the victims of last night’s attack.

“My heart and prayers go the victims and their families and friends who were brutally killed and injured by a shocking and cowardly act of senseless violence. This tragic and vicious attack on innocent people has claimed the lives of our fellow Americans and devastated hundreds of others who were simply enjoying a country music festival. I will be in Las Vegas this morning to meet with law enforcement, first responders and to console the victims and their families and friends. Governor Sandoval Urges Congress to Re-Authorize CHIP
CARSON CITY, NV – Governor Brian Sandoval today issued the following statement strongly urging Congress to move as quickly as possible to re-authorize funding for the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). CHIP authorization is set to expire tomorrow, Saturday, September 30, 2017. In Nevada CHIP is known as the Nevada Check Up program and serves more than 26,600 children.
